Eminem Lyrics Drawing

Home
This work was my favorite one because we where allowed to select our favorite artists and draw print a black and white picture from them. Then we were supposed to draw them ourselves in a new blank page. Instead of coloring our characters we wrote significant passages’ from their life to fill the hair, there clothing’s, shades, nose, ears, and more. To finish the work we where instructed to cut the blank page into the shape of your artist then paste it in a colored card board to make it more colorful and that’s where we were done.

My project was about my favorite rapper, he is Eminem, also my favorite artist. I followed the steps and after drawing him in a new blank page. I started following the lines of the face, neck and his hood. Then I had to cover the black of his hood, then the inside of his hood, then the shades of his face, and if finally finished. The longest part was filling the big spaces all with letters! All the significant passages from Eminem that I chose were lyrics from his songs, the ones that I like the most. The hardest part to fill in was his eyes because does where little spaces that had shades and different tones of black and grey. Anyway this was my favorite assignment because I was able to decide whom to draw and my final product was something satisfactory because I liked it and I guess some people enjoyed, it was even posted on the school for about 3 weeks.

Slim Shady Canvas

Painting a canvas was something new for me. I guess that’s why I messed up! In this assignment was also optional the drawing we chose. I chose once more Slim Shady. As you can see this man is really important in my life. He is someone to look up to because of his courage and perseverance. Even though he is white he pursued his dream of being a rapper and can know be characterized as one of the best in the world. Most of his lyrics have significant meanings and I identify my life and personality with them, which is what makes it so special for me.

The only reason that made me enjoy this work is the fact that I was drawing my favorite artist. After drawing him in the canvas with a pencil, I had a lot of trouble painting it; in fact I did it to times. Both I messed up luckily; I didn’t do as bad as the first time the second time. The part in which I had to mix the paint took the time of each class so the painting wasn’t done so carefully as a result of lack of time. I have to admit that when I finished the assignment I wasn’t satisfied with the product because it is no enjoyable when you see it at first, and you cant be sure it is Marshall Mathers because the paint in he’s cheeks is a little to clear and they are way to big. But anyway it was one more experience in life.

Drum Set Sketch

Throughout the school year we have to do a sketch in weekly bases. It is always our decision what we want to draw. The one that I did just know is one I put a lot of effort in and I like the meaning of it. This one represents the stage of my life in which I loved to play the drum set. This was between the ages of 12 to 14. I actually was pretty good at it but I can’t find private lessons any more, which is why I’ve stopped this hobby.

The way I decided to do this sketch is by searching in the Internet cool sketches. I saw a nice sketch of a kid playing the guitar and it occurred to me, hey I like the drum set, and I started doing a similar sketch but with my favorite instrument. The colors I picked are green, blue and black. Does are my favorite colors I like especially green which is why I started coloring with that one. This weekly bases work is a good exercise for any artist and to improve their art skills. I always enjoy having to do this assignment; it even helps me being creative.
